Rey from Star Wars: The Force Awakens Cosplay

"This costume was originally made the week after I saw the movie, but I decided that I wanted to re-make several pieces and apply to join the Rebel Legion. Using the RPF for research, I was able to find screen-accurate fabrics and patterns for pieces like the shirt, belt and wrist cuff. I made everything from scratch, including the shoes. This costume was my first time working with leather as well. The blaster is a 3D print kit from Nerd Prints, assembled and painted by me.
This costume's official debut was Anime Central, 2016, but I plan to wear it many more times as it has officially been approved by the Rebel Legion. I'm really excited to finally be able to use cosplay as a way to support charity efforts and my local community! I have plans to add pieces to this costume as well, such as her scavenger headwrap and goggles, as well as her staff. This costume is not only one of the most comfortable cosplays I've worn, but I've really come to love Rey as a character and cannot wait to see her in the upcoming films as well."
