I want the audience to almost smell the costumes.” Want to make your own? Then you’re in luck because IKEA have released a simple set of instructions on how to make them...

Cosplay Clean Up 2017

Geek Girl Northern Belle Rogue organized and covered her yearly Cosplay Clean Up...

"This year marks the 4th Annual Cosplay Clean Up organized by Northern Belle Rogue. Heroes and Villains alike gathered at Allan Gardens in Toronto to celebrate Earth Day 2017 and give back to the community by cleaning up the park! New to this year, there was also a food drive for the North York Harvest Food Bank where we collected 94lbs of food! The weather was beautiful and as per usual, some rather interesting items were found in the park. Check out the video to see some of the more unique items in this "scavenger hunt". Big thanks to The Sean Ward Show, OOC Photography and Cajun Cosplay for filming and photographing the event. Thanks are also owed to Terry and Calvin of Northern Heroes for bringing snacks for everyone. It was a lovely day and we can't wait to do it again next year. If you can't make it out, no worries! Just make an effort where you are and don't litter!"

"Despite the impending rain that tried to make it's way into the weekend, AnimeNorth was mostly cloudy and sunny with only a few rain showers here and there! It was just as packed as usual though you could feel the energy the moment you walked into the con area! People were excited! There were fantastic costumes everywhere! The guests were well received! All in all, a fantastic con yet again! Here are a few of the awesome cosplayers I had the pleasure of working with over the course of the weekend!"

And when I saw that artwork of the female blood elf paladin in tier 2 I knew I have to do that! So, here are the results.. I hope you enjoy that! <3"

Kyoko Sakura from Madoka Magica Cosplay

Geek Girl Princess Nightmare looks lovely cosplaying as Kyoko Sakura from Madoka Magica and here's what she had to say...

"As far as Madoka Magica goes...I relate most to Madoka…but I absolutely love Kyoto...and red! Her whole look (in both her casual and magic girl outfits) is always so cool! I have quite a few other Madoka Magica works in progress right now, so they will be showing up as shoots throughout the next year (I hope!!) I am really excited! I don’t know what it was about this anime…maybe it was how much Madoka reminded me of me when I was younger…maybe the different art styles…maybe all of it…but I just absolutely loved it and wanted to play with so many aspects of character and costume…so when I saw an opportunity to shoot at an arcade with Atom Cat Photography, I couldn’t pass up doing it as Kyoto! Plus I got Pockey! HOORAY!! (Now if only I could dance! haha!) I do hope to shoot in this costume again soon :-) it is a fun one...and comfortable! :-D"

Zelda & Link Cosplay

The Geekstress and Brian Cremean look fantastic cosplaying together as Zelda and Link from The Legend of Zelda! Here's what she had to say about it...

"Getting these shots was really important to me. These costumes were my first major build, my first attempt at armor, so many firsts. And they had never been properly photographed. They are now 5 years old, and getting pretty worn out (not to mention they're a bit more snug than they used to be...) but they are still very close to my heart. We did this shoot at the University of Michigan Law Quad, and I love how the stonework and architecture really bring these shots to life! Of course, much of the credit must be given to our awesome photographer, Brandon. We had so much fun working with him, and he's amazingly talented!"
