Nanael Queeen's Blade Cosplay
The lovely
Maka Lee is once again featured on Geek Girls with her awesome Nanael from Queeen's Blade cosplay! Here is what she had to say about the shoot...
"I am very excited to have finally finished a costume from Queen's Blade. I am a huge fan and have wanted to cosplay from this series for years now. The fan service is where the heart and soul of this series lies. Making this costume was a creative journey, and I really enjoyed learning how to make my first set of wings, and armor for the leg pieces. Nanael is a guardian angel sent to Earth to supervise and participate in the Queen's Blade tournament. In her own words, "A messenger from Heaven who came to bring true order to the world." When in actuality, she is an angel dropout in heaven.
She has a devious side to her, often trapping people so she can supervise more matches. Her interpretation of an orderly society, is a place filled with angels and men on earth who will serve them outright."

May 23 2013Tali Cosplay
The lovely
Ayimera sent us some amazing Tali cosplay photos! Here is what she had to say about the cosplay and the shoot...
"I've always loved the Mass Effect storyline (even with the controversial ending) and got the idea in my head to one day cosplay my favorite character: Tali! This was definitely a collaboration costume. I purchased the visor from Taylor at Crabcat Industries and handed it off to Will at WM Armory to create the helmet. My friend, Meredith (who is also an amazing cosplayer), created Tali's signature wrap/hood as a wedding present (best present ever), and Ammnra Creations did the omni-tool. I put it all together, created all the detail bits (belt, harness, boots, gloves, etc), installed a fan and tint in the helmet, and debuted the costume at Katsucon '13!
It was a huge hit, and I was able to snag talented photographer Mike Kowalek of Eleventh Photography for a shoot. I'm not the greatest model, haha, but he worked with me to get some amazing shots."

May 23 2013Belle Cosplay
Here's our beautiful Geek Girl
Frinda Frisk cosplaying as Belle! Here is what she had to say about cosplaying a princess...
"This cosplay is definitely one of my favorites thus far. I love how I feel in the dress and how it ended up turning out. I made the dress 100% from scratch and tried my first attempt with making my one fabric flowers. Belle is one of the many Disney princesses that are close to my heart, like many girls, so it was a joy to get the chance to cosplay her.
Trillance photography did a wonderful job once again and I cannot wait to wear this outfit to a convention."

May 22 2013Daenerys Targaryen Cosplay
The beautiful
Anastasia King of Flax & Kite cosplayed one of our favorite characters, Daenerys Targaryen! She makes a awesome Khaleesi! :) Here is what she had to say about the character...
"Like a lot of people, I'm a big Game of Thrones/ASoIaF fan, especially when it comes to Daenerys Targaryen. I wanted to design something original for Daenerys, inspired by her wedding gown in Season 1 and the Valyrian color palette. I also wanted to incorporate some of the luxurious drapes of the tokars of Meereen, topped with a Westerosi corset, bearing a stylized and hand-beaded sigil of House Targaryen. The gown is chiffon with an under layer of silver satin, while the corset is silk dupioni. And yes, that's my real hair!"

May 21 2013Steampunk High Tea
The Geek x Girls family grows by one with another addition to our group! Please welcome
Teryl Dactyl to Geek Girls! Her 'High Tea' Steampunk shoot is amazing, we love everything about it. Here are her words...
"Steampunk High Tea was a concept of mine as it combines my love of the fantastical steampunk style and tea. I'm of British background, so I must have my daily dose of good tea! The location is an old B&B that my friend owns.... the perfect setting for a neo-victorian style shoot. Full of beautifully rich colours, textures and antiques. (That spinning wheel is no replica!) I've worked with
Photographer: Eric Clark on a number of shoots and just knew that he would be able to capture the moment perfectly. I recommend you peruse these photographs whilst enjoying a cup of Earl Grey. Cheers!"

May 21 2013Harely Quinn Tank Dress
ThinkGeek.com
released this awesome new
Harely Quinn tank dress! We know Geek Girls everywhere love Harley Quinn, judging by the amount of Harley submissions we get and the amount of cosplays we see at conventions! She certainly is a fan favorite so we thought you'd all love this dress!
It really is a classic love story. Asylum psychiatrist falls hard for zany, green-haired, perma-smiling psychopath who has been known to menace the city. Psychiatrist helps crazy man escape asylum. Psychiatrist loses it and decides to don skin-tight court jester outfit, becoming crazy man's sidekick and accomplice. Hasn't this happened to you at least a dozen times?
No? Well, maybe it will if you start sporting this Harley Quinn tank dress around town. A girl can hope, right?
Harley Quinn costume print tank dress
in Black and red, made of 95% cotton and 5% spandex.

May 20 2013Batgirl Cosplay
Here's the lovely
Lady Scarlett cosplaying as Batgirl! Here is what she had to say about the cosplay...
"My costumes have all been custom made for me by a seamstress because I honestly am horrible with a sewing machine :)
I have only been able to wear them in photoshoots because with my husband being a soldier and three kids it's difficult to get time for conventions but I hope to change that soon.
Cosplay to me is a way to get away from reality and get into a costume and be someone awesome."
