Eric Draven Crow Cosplay
Eric Draven Crow Cosplay
"Hi everyone!!
Roxy Lee
here with my first ever set on the site! I couldn't be happier that it is this set to be honest as I have a special place in my heart for The Crow and for the character of Eric Draven. This set was shot on Brandon Lees actual Birthday which is surreal to begin with. The moment I finished the makeup and put the leather trench coat on I felt different, it was like stepping into another persons skin and wearing it for a while...creepy? haha. Adam Jay was amazing to work with on set, he came knowing exactly what the character would be feeling and how he would pose and move, we worked side by side to recreate some of the more iconic Crow poses and body positions and I knew his darker edgier vibe would suit this cosplay perfectly. I did not want to do anything insane location wise for this shoot for a couple reasons. I wanted to be able to portray more through my expressions and costume than a busy background or a lot of post effects. I wanted to challenge myself to do more in the modeling respect than rely solely on what was around me.
Costume wise, I tried to keep this costume as exact to the original as possible while also keeping my own femininity present. If people are to tell me I look like a man or I look like Brandon Lee that could be the best compliment ever haha. I did not want to be pretty, or sexy in this, I wanted to just be true to him. I have heard "Why didn't you just cosplay Iris Shaw as she is the female Crow?" Well simple, I hate that character lol so why would I portray her? Because I have a vagina? That is ridiculous. I wanted to be this character because I love him and relate to him and feel more for him that's that. The things I did do different in my costume was instead of leather pants I added in tights and lace up knee high boots. Just to add a Roxy original vibe to it and because good luck finding female leather pants that fit on a budget haha.
I hope you all love this set as much as I do, I am super proud of all of it and it is one of my absolute favorite costumes and sets to date <3 Much love and stay geeky! Check out my fan page
