Firefly Group Cosplay
Our photographer Dana shot this awesome Firefly cosplay group at Wizard World Toronto 2012. Everyone did a great job portraying the characters! Here's what she said about shooting them…
"They were amazing to photograph, we had a ton of fun and of course they are all huge Firefly fans. They had just got to meet and pose with Sean Maher (who played Simon Tam) so they were all pumped from that too. Plus we got super lucky finding a last minute Captain Mal and a giant piece of rusty corporate art outside the convention centre for a backdrop that was sheltered from the rain. You gotta love when shoots just 'work' ;)
I am inspired to photograph cosplayers because of the work they put into their costumes, their dedication to fandom and of course the amazing results. Everyone loves to see their favourite characters come alive! I will be heading to Fan Expo Canada in a few days and I am super excited to be attending/planning tons more cosplay group shoots including a female Batman villains, Avengers, Marvel, Pokemon, Sailor Moon, 501st, Doctor Who and Assassins Creed group shoots. And hopefully I'll stumble upon many more! Eeeep can't wait see you all at Fan Expo!"
