Geek Pride Day Fan Post

Happy Geek Pride Day! Geek Pride Day is an initiative to promote geek culture, celebrated on May 25. The date was chosen as to commemorate the release of the first Star Wars film, A New Hope on 25 May 1977, but shares the same date as two other similar fan holidays: Towel Day, for fans of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy by Douglas Adams, and the Glorious 25 May for fans of Terry Pratchett's Discworld.

So to celebrate we created this post from various submission we have received from our awesome fans over the last year. We felt these pictures captured a good variety of all the aspects that make geeks awesome! We are also posting Geek Pride Day submissions on our facebook page today! So send your geeky photos to thegeeks@geekxgirls.com (could be cosplays, collections, tattoos, events, etc) and we will post them (make sure you have permission to post the photos and send the credits/links also).
