I was asked by my local comic book shoppe The Comic Book Shoppe to help out during their ladies night where they would be offering great deals, have local artists, surprise bags and create a safe and welcoming place fr geek ladies and those whose identify as female.

It was a really fab night where we all got to chat about fun stuff, buy cookies and buy some geeky products. Definitely a night that needs to happen again. We had some representation willing to talk to anyone wanting to join our local charity comic costume group
The League of Super Heroes and we had members of
Hollaback! Ottawa, a group dedicated to end street harassment. We even had local tattoo artist
Tattoos by Pickles - Amanda Scipioni on site doing a tattoo live with her portfolio for anyone wishing to book her for an appointment. We had delicious cookies from
The Gingy House. Lara of
Historical Links was on hands with beautiful pieces we could buy, definitely stop by her instagram and check our her stuff. There was a geeky manicurist on hand with some really cute designs for people to indulge in as well. Finally we had members of the
Rideau Valley Roller Girls to provide security and answer any questions for the adventurous types who might want to get into roller derby. Great Night!
