The Handmaids Tale Cosplay
The Geekstress did a wonderful job cosplaying as a handmaid from The Handmaids Tale! Here's what she had to say...
"Blessed be the fruit..."
I've been completely taken in by A Handmaid's Tale on Hulu. Based on the 1986 book by Margaret Atwood, it somehow feels shockingly relate-able in the present-day.
Built in a frenzy of manic energy, this "handmaid's uniform" took about 9 hours, I'm very satisfied with the result. The cloak is upholstery suede and the under-dress is red linen. The wings are buckram and wire wrapped in cotton muslin.
