Leela from Futurama Cosplay
Holly Brooke looks phenomenal cosplaying as the Captain of the Planet Express Ship herself, Turanga Leela! Here's what she had to say...
"I mean one cantaloupe-sized bloodshot eye? You ain't winning no beauty pageants, lady". Leela is a character that is strong, sexy, and funny; face it, she's an impressive piece of captain! I've been wanting to cosplay as her for a while, but coming up with a way to create a cartoon cyclops effect took a bit of research and trial and error. Aside from some tunnel vision after a few hours, the eyeball was actually quite comfortable to wear and allowed for good visibility. I was very excited with the final result and I even learned a thing or two. A lot of people write this character off as an easy cosplay, but believe me, building a giant gravity defying ponytail is no joke! The wig cap actually has a metal structure and foam core within it to help give it Leela's characteristic space babe ponytail! Her wristlojackimator is also equiped with an EL panel and lights up! I hope you enjoy this cosplay because I sure enjoyed making it!"
