Suicide Squad Harley Quinn Cosplay

 

Ally Way Cosplay looks amazing cosplaying as Harley Quinn from the upcoming Suicide Squad movie at Anime North! Here's what she had to say...

"Harley Quinn has been my favourite girl villain sense I was a little kid watching batman the animated series, and one of my favourite batman characters of all time so when I found out she would be in a movie I couldn't be more excited. Harley Quinn was the reason I got into cosplay and have been cosplaying her for 7 years so I knew I'd have to attempt Suicide Squad Harley one day. When I saw they released a photo of her for suicide squad I was so excited and thought, why wait? I loved the new look so much dropped all my previous plans for cosplaying at Anime North and went out the day after the photo was released to grab supplies. It gave me a bit of trouble at first but I knew I had to do it, I would be official release photo Saturday and no jacket leaked photo Sunday. With the con coming up I worked through it and made it in two days! Everything from making the shorts as sparkly as hers, to dying the top by hand as to get the stripes on the arms, to coloring in the jacket with sharpie, sewing on the gold and even styling the wig myself. And even though I forgot to bring the puddin collar Saturday I am really happy with how it turned out.

When going to Anime North I had no idea how my cosplay would be taken or if anyone would know who I was. And I was surprised by how many positive and surprised and happy reactions I had! It made me proud to have finished it and to be one of the first if only Suicide Squad Harleys at the con, so many stopped me about how they weren't expecting to see a cosplay of her yet and even took photos with other dc cosplayers it was so much fun. Being a year since my first shoot and how happy I was with it I knew I had to get my shots taken where I did last time at the wonderful Cosplay for A Cure booth. This year they had the talented Elemental Photography who was so helpful with poses and took such awesome photos i couldn't be happier. This Harley has been my favorite version I've done in these years that I cant wait to further improve it as more photos and the movie comes out to cosplay her again at my next con!"
