Dark Phoenix Cosplay
Christa C. looks marvelous cosplaying as the powerful Dark Phoenix! Here's what she said about it...
"I have always loved the x-men (and new mutants ...any of Professors x's progeny, really) any, ever since discovering them in middle school.
Jean grey was always a favorite as well. (though truthfully I am working towards a costume for her alternate timeline daughter, Rachel Summers/baby phoenix/Phoenix, as she is my all time favorite character)
Anyway, Out of all Jeans costume and changes, I liked phoenix the most...the tragedy, power and just bad assery of it all.
When I saw that Milanoo actually sold a costume (in the green, white and red versions if anyone is interested) I knew I had to work on the rest of it. The belt buckle was actually the hardest to find...I tried making one out of various materials myself,but they just didn't look right...they didn't have the right smoothness or heft, so finding Idzerda on etsy was a bit of luck and google-fu, that made me very happy.
Being a natural redhead, I am always on the lookout for redheaded characters to cosplay, and this one was not only high on the list but fun to do!"
