Companion Cube Lolita Photoshoot

"My daughter and I love Portal. It's our game. So when I was trying to decide what costumes to do for DragonCon this year I decided I wanted to do something Portal-related. After playing around with the idea & browsing around online I decided I wanted to put my own spin on the Companion Cube. I'd seen a fair few Companion Cube-themed dresses online, but none of them were really what I was going for. I'm normally quite the tomboy, so I decided for this one I wanted to be as girly and frilly as possible, just for a change of pace. I got with my friend Chris- a professional costume-maker- and we came up with this. I guess you could call it a Lolita Companion Cube? I'm not really sure. All I know is that when I wear it I feel like a princess. Which is unusual for me! (But nice.)"
