Rainbow Brite with Strawberry Shortcake

Here is a super fun Rainbow Bright with Strawberry Shortcake cosplay by the girls at Skyleaf Creations. Here's what Casey had to say about her Rainbow Brite costume and how much joy it brings... :D

"So my friend and I decided we wanted to go old school for Anime North 2012 and Niagara Falls ComiCon and went back to two of our childhood favorites. Rainbow Brite and Strawberry ShortCake...I went as Rainbow Brite and let me tell you it was great...the smiles and reactions we got from everyone young and old, male and female was amazing. We had people telling us that we had made there day just being there...I can tell that to make that many people smile and be happy even just for a moment is the best feeling in the world.

It's one of the reasons I love to Cosplay cause it's not only a way to so you fandom but also to bring some joy to someone else. While the wearing of this Cosplay was easy..well with some help from my friends to lace me in:)..the making of it was a whole other story...I decided to do a boned bodice/corset style top due to the fact that I am a "fluffy" girl and it helps smooth out those spots..the bodice was easy for me to make as I love to make corsets the hard part was the sleeves..I think the final version was the 4th try of making the sleeves...but oh what fun was had....I hope the photos bring a little bit of a joy to you"
