Rogue Cosplay

Geek Girl Princess Nightmare looks gorgeous cosplaying as Rogue! Here's what she said about it...

"My favorite 3 X-Men are Emma Frost, Kitty Pryde, and Rogue. I fail at every Emma cosplay I do I am just not meant to be a blonde. I don't need a costume for Kitty... I have almost the exact same name, similar background, and look and just about everything else so do Kitty is kinda like cosplaying myself... So I finally attempted Rogue. I love the dark green costume. So I gave it a shot! I had a lot of fun and I love being Rogue-I had done this costume for a convention in the past but rushing in the morning and some other complications I didn't think I looked so good. I was really excited to have the chance to shoot it in a studio. I like the way different costumes make me feel. I did 6 costume shoots in one day and they all made me feel different once my hair make up and costume was done. I loved doing this one because Rogue is a strong and beautiful character, one I had not had the confidence to really try up until now. This particular shoot gave me confidence I had been lacking earlier in the day. I don't know how to explain what exactly it is I love about Rogue, though I can pinpoint as far as Rogue costumes go, this one is the right colors for me and is my favorite one.

Part of me was afraid to do this one because a lot of other people have done it and unlike Black Cat (to which half the time I just AM Black Cat-long story-people have been calling me Black Cat/Felicia Hardy for over 10 years) I was afraid I might not live up to being a really great Rogue. It has always been a fear of mine which I am happy to say I have now conquered and hope to maybe do more with the character in the future!

The only other thing I have to say about this is the first time I wore the costume I was with a bunch of die hard X-Men fans who insisted sometimes she wore white boots with this costume. I couldn't recall any of these instances, but they insisted and I stuck with it because I love my white Mord Sith booths and they looked pretty cool!"
