Fully Clothed Female Superheroes
Artist
Michael Lee Lunsford came up with the clever idea to redesign some superheroines for fun in fully covered outfits instead of the usual scantily-clad! Now of course you know at GG we love our sexy ladies, but variety is the spice of live and it's really neat to imagine more modest versions too. These outfits would be a lot better for the winter months that's for sure, lol! Now let me just stress there is no moral code or agenda behind this, just an exercise in design and here's a bit of what the artist said...
"Point of this:
An exercise in character design, attempting to clothe the heroines nearly all the way and not making them painted-on, while still keeping the look of their original costumes in some way. Hopefully keeping them looking as iconic as the originally were. Just showing what can be done with a costume breaking outside the barrier of the norm.
NOT THE POINT OF THIS:
I make no attempt to claim there is some moral agenda behind these designs, they were an experiment in character design. You can place whatever meaning you want on them, or the attention they’re getting, but that is up to your interpretation.
I repeat, I did this for fun and to challenge myself as a character designer, nothing more. I’m not even claiming I did a good job."
