Daenerys Targaryen Cosplay

 

Procasstinating looks absolutely stunning cosplaying as the Mother of Dragons herself, Daenerys Targaryen. Here's what she said about the cosplay & the shoot...

"This costume is the result of “hrmm I need to make something simple” and deciding it was too simple so that meant I needed to make a dragon. Well that was my logic anyways. I’m a big fan of the Game of Thrones series however I’m a bigger fan of the books! I tried duplicating Emilia Clarkes look as much as possible but then went back to the book for other things i.e Violet eyes. The Dragon itself is made from a wire frame base, coated in papier mache, then covered/detailed in worbla. I hired some minions like my little sister and my best friend to help apply the scales on one by one so I’ll admit the dragon isn’t 100% me. Without them my dragon would’ve taken twice as long. The dragon sits comfortably on my left shoulder and wraps around my waist when I'm standing or when I'm sitting he sits on my legs easily. I’m really proud of this simple-turned-difficult costume since it digs into my favourite part of cosplay, Prop-making.

The shoot for this was a lot of fun. We were running up and down a very crowded beach taking shots, scaring the locals. When Lorenzo showed me the finished shots I broke down crying not believing that the girl in the photos was me. He has done such an amazing job and I could not have been any more prouder of his work. Thank you Lorenzo, you’re amazing!"
