Katcakes sent us these amazing She-Ra photos. She looks beautiful and her interpretive cosplay is very well done. Here's what she said about it...
"She-Ra is a wonderful heroine- she's intelligent, kind, brave, and independent. She's also WAY cooler than her brother, who often gets all the recognition. I missed out on She-Ra in the 80s, but after watching the He-Man and She-Ra Christmas special last year, I was hooked and immediately started watching the series to make up for lost time.
This is my "warrior princess" interpretation of She-Ra's iconic design. I wanted it to keep the silhouette of the official design while picking up some valkyrie/fantasy/Xena elements as well. I learned a lot while making the costume: armour crafting with Worbla, resin gem casting, creating a dress that would support the weight of the breastplate, and building the Sword of Protection. (my first ambitious prop!) The costume was made in about a month to debut at Emerald City Comicon 2013, and I also wore it to Fan Expo Vancouver 2013. I hope to wear it again soon!"
